replaced like a circuit board
in a a vast machine
unplugged
bereft
but a circuit board sleeps
after it is replaced
made redundant
i walk the streets with a sign
and sit on a corner begging for change
maybe not all that bad for other redundants
heard about a fellow
who got his brother to give him the money for
a food stand.
they took away my job
but more than that
they took away my dignity
